A children’s book that every adult should read?
Occasionally, I share a children’s book, every adult should read and will thoroughly enjoy. The Trumpet of the Swan by E.B. White is just that book. I do not remember this book from childhood, the titles most would remember by E.B. White are Charlotte’s Web or Stuart Little. I’m introduced to this book while riding with my son and his two preschool boys. Both asked if he would put this book on their car radio. Written over 50 years ago, on Audible it is read by the author himself.
Great story of a Swan hatched without a voice. The trumpet becomes his voice, but he overcomes many things society sees as disabilities.
A great story best told with the author’s voice. This is one I will share with my grandkids for sure but will listen to by myself often.
